Calcivis Imaging System

Scottish dental imaging company Calcivis has announced that is has received pre-market approval (PMA) from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Calcivis Imaging System. The Calcivis Imaging System applies a patented photoprotein that creates a low-level light flash using releasing calcium ions from the decay on the tooth surface. An intraoral sensor inside the Imaging System detects the light flash, and visualizes the decay for the clinician. With its PMA, the Calcivis Imaging System now has the ability to expand into the United States.

Scope Launches Scope Squeez Mouthwash Concentrate

Mouthwash brand Scope has launched a new mouthwash concentrate called Scope Squeez. Users combine water and Scope Squeez to perfectly match their desired level of mouthwash intensity, according to the press release from Scope. It comes in a palm-sized bottle that is said to deliver the same amount of uses as the standard 1ml bottle of regular liquid mouthwash.

Scope Squeez is designed to meet the needs of customers who may not enjoy the intensity of regular mouthwash and are looking for a fresh breath solution without sacrificing their own comfort. This new product allows users to customize their mouthwash experience on-the-go in its small packaging and 2 different flavor–Original Mint and Cool Peppermint. It can be used for up to 4 squeezes a day.

Straumann Group Launches Digital Solutions & ClearCorrect Innovations at IDS 2023

New Software & ClearCorrect Sync Mobile App

Straumann Group launched a variety of new solutions and innovations at IDS 2023, taking place March 14th through the 18th in Cologne, Germany. Included in these new solutions are new software for the Virtuo Vivo intraoral scanner, the Smilecloud virtual smile visualizer launch in Europe, and Straumann’s first surgical dynamic navigation system Straumann Falcon.

Also included in these launches are improvements to ClearCorrect’s digital workflow. It will now contain an enhanced, dynamic prescription form to guide clinicians toward optimized treatment protocol, according to a press release from Straumann. There will also now be a ClearCorrect Sync mobile app for clinicians to set up new patient profiles, take and edit photos, and upload patient data directly to the Doctor Portal. Both 3Shape TRIOS and Virtuo Vivo intraoral scanners are optimized to work with the ClearCorrect Sync mobile app.

ClearCorrect’s Collaborator Suite has also been fully updated to allow clinicians to order treatment planning optimization services from ClearCorrect global partners.

All of these innovations and solutions were shown off at the Straumann Group press conference at IDS.
