Dental artificial intelligence (AI) company Pearl has announced its new Precheck tool. Pearl’s AI-powered Precheck is an insurance eligibility and benefits verification tool that exists as an add-on to Pearl’s platform Practice Intelligence®. Altogether, Pearl is aiming to optimize data processes in the dental practice through this streamlined integration, according to a press release from Pearl. Precheck harnesses natural language processing to analyze patient insurance data so that front office and clinical staff can reduce time wasted trying to match the right treatment with the right insurance. Precheck has a variety of features that aim to provide a whole insurance verification solution for dental practices. Other features include multi-source verification, which pulls in data from clearinghouses, payors, and patient EOBs; code-level feedback, which providing exact answers on which treatments insurance will cover; and a comprehensive coverage breakdown feature that lists benefits, limitations, and other actionable insights for clinicians to take confidence in their decision making.

In a move made to help dental practices save on inventory space, OptiBond Universal 360 also does not require a separate ceramic or metal primer. This agent is reportedly compatible with self-etch, selective-etch, and total-etch techniques, and indicated for both indirect and direct restorations. Avenacy’s new Tranexamic Acid Injection, USP, indicated for use during and following tooth extraction, is now available in the United States. The Schaumburg, Illinois-based specialty pharmaceutical company, which is focused on supplying critical injectable medications, announced that it has launched Tranexamic Acid Injection, USP as a therapeutic generic equivalent for Cyklokapron® as approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.The product is indicated in patients with hemophilia for short-term use (2 to 8 days) to reduce or prevent hemorrhage and reduce the need for replacement therapy during and following tooth extraction.

Avenacy's Tranexamic Acid Injection, USP is available in 1,000 mg/10mL(100 mg per mL) 10-pack single-dose vials. In line with the company’s mission to champion patient safety and streamline patient care, it will feature Avenacy's highly differentiated packaging and labeling to support accurate medication selection.

Avenacy planned to begin shipping Tranexamic Acid Injection, USP to wholesale partners in June. Over 200 insurance providers are verifiable through this new feature, according to a press release from Yapi. Other features introduced with Insurance Verification are rapid eligibility checks, which provide a single-click solution to verify eligibility; detailed benefits summaries that demonstrate both in-network and out-of-network coverage details like deductibles and other insights; plan usage, to monitor coverage used and coverage remaining per patient/family; and error detection, which can monitor if a policy term is expired or if there are any discrepancies.
