ProPaste™ One

Pac-Dent has announced its ProPaste One, a disposable ring that clinicians can wear during prophy. The prophy paste, which is anti-splatter, is attached to the ring, allowing clinicians to “wear” it while they work. It’s disposable, which eliminates the need to autoclave after every procedure, as they can simply throw it away when done. ProPaste contains the right amount of desensitizing paste that is said to provide both remineralization and polish through its variety of flavors and grit sizes. This ergonomic ring is designed to be non-slip, allowing for comfort and security during hygiene visits. Per Pac-Dent, this prophy ring may be a great fit for dental professionals on-the-go as they provide mobile care for patients. The anti-splatter paste is formulated with 1.23% fluoride ion and TCP for polish, per a press release from Pac-Dent.

[ Composite ]

Stela

A single-shade, self-cure composite said to be well suited for Class I, II, III, and V restorations, Stela is designed for efficient, reliable placement. The composite works in conjunction with Stela Primer which provides the catalyst to initiate polymerization, allowing the material to cure starting with the restoration interface, rather than the exterior surface. This is said to help prevent marginal gaps, eliminate postoperative sensitivity, and reduce restoration failure. Available in a single shade in either syringe or capsule delivery, the material can reportedly be placed in as little as 15 seconds. Its two-step workflow is said to eliminate the need for the traditional etch, prime, bond, and light cure composite workflow.
