Videa Dental Assist
Dental artificial intelligence (AI) platform VideaHealth has achieved a groundbreaking milestone with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granting 510(k) clearance for their latest product, Videa Dental Assist. The clearance includes more than 30 AI algorithms, expanding AI detections to cover all of the most common dental diseases, according to a press release from VideaHealth. These new clearance applications include periapical radiolucencies, calculus, pediatric caries detection for ages 3 years and older, among many other AI models. These models are said to allow for detections across all ages, improving workflow and time-savings for dental professionals. Notably, some of these detections mark the first of their kind to be issued by a regulatory agency anywhere in the world, including the first pediatric radiology AI clearance in dentistry. Already embraced by thousands of clinicians, VideaAI has become the dental AI tool of choice for many, used daily to provide the best possible care for millions of patients. With this recent FDA clearance, VideaHealth aims to solidify its position as the first dental AI company to offer insights for virtually every disease state.
