Pearl's AI platform is now available through Midway Dental Supply.

Supply and distributor Midway Dental Supply has announced a partnership with artificial intelligence (AI) company, Pearl. The new partnership will see Pearl become Midway’s preferred AI solutions provider.

Pearl’s Practice Intelligence® platform is now available as part of Midway’s product sales and distribution inventory. The collaboration also now includes Second Opinion®, which is said to be the first and only chairside AI software to help dentists detect numerous conditions in x-rays, that has been cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

“When it comes to diagnosis, dentists need to accurately detect much more than caries in adult patients––and Pearl’s Second Opinion® is the only solution with the necessary FDA clearance to aid in detection of conditions beyond caries in adolescent and teenage patients as well as adults,” Steve Kizy, president of Midway said in a statement.

“Our partnership with Midway ensures that forward-thinking dental practices across the U.S. have access to the most advanced AI to streamline their practice management and realtime chairside radiologic evaluations,” Ophir Tanz, founder and CEO of Pearl, added, according to the statement. “Through our work together, we’re extending the reach of AI in dentistry to positively impact both patients and providers.”
