Midmark has announced the release of its new Midmark Intraoral Digital Sensor System. This new sensor system is specifically designed with enhanced triggering for consistent and reliable image capture, according to a press release from the company. The system is said to have design features that optimize convenience, ranging from its thin profile and rounded corners for comfort, to its direct USB 2.0 connection for easy integration.

The sensor also features an advanced CMOS that optimizes resolution while simultaneously reducing noise. In turn, this leads to sharper, clearer digital images, touting 35.7 line pairs per millimeter for superior image quality. This new sensor is directly integrated with the Midmark Preva Plus Intraoral x-ray, a system that contains sensor storage and in-arm cable management to work in any dental practice. The Midmark Intraoral Digital Sensor comes in 2 different sizes for patient needs.

“Reliably capturing high-quality images is the most important attribute of an intraoral digital sensor,” Vice president of imaging product development for Midmark, Mark Greenwood says in the press release. “At Midmark, we’ve designed a digital sensor system with advanced triggering hardware and algorithms to reduce x-ray doses and produce high-quality images with outstanding resolution when used with a dental x-ray source.”

Midmark also guarantees a standard 5-year manufacturer’s limited warranty as well as its Sensor Safe extended care and priority replacement plan. This sensor is available now.
