Dr Matthew Burton of Frankfort, Illinois has designed and developed BurtonBands and VursaWedge, two products that use matrix wedge technology to complete Class II composite restorations.

These two products were designed as a means to simplify split-wedge design and to offer advantages that some other traditional wedges may not employ, increasing efficiency, according to a press release from Young Specialties.

These restorative solutions are now under an exclusive distribution agreement with Young Specialties and are available for practices in North America.
