Designed to further enhance ease of use and patient safety, J. Morita's new Tri Auto ZX2+ cordless endodontic handpiece with a built-in apex locator.
Designed as an upgrade over the previous generation the new Tri Auto ZX2+ endodontic handpiece system from J. Morita includes new and enhanced features that aim to make endodontic procedures safe, consistent, and efficient.
The third generation of the Tri Auto ZX line of handpieces, the cordless ZX2+ unit features an integrated apex locator, and now supports reciprocating files, and offers an enhanced Optimum Glide Path 2 (OGP2) reciprocating mode that helps reduce file binding and the risk of files breaking in the canal, according to a press release. The OGP2 mode can be used in any canal type with both clockwise and counterclockwise files for everything from patency to glide path preparation to canal shaping.
Additional features of the Tri Auto ZX2+ include Optimum Torque Reverse (OTR) technology, which reportedly helps prevent jamming and breakage of rotary files by automatically alternating between forward and reverse rotation when the motor encounters resistance in the canal. With the Tri Auto ZX2+ the OTR mode now also supports reciprocating files as well as rotary files.
