The company plans to release 2 versions of its new PrograScan One intraoral scanner this year.
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced it will launch 2 new scanning systems in the US. The PrograScan® One intraoral scanners will be powered by 3Shape.
The PrograScan One is designed to integrate with the PrograMill®—Ivoclar Vivadent’s chairside milling machine designed to fabricate IPS e.max®—for a completely digital workflow. There will be 2 different versions of the scanner available—PrograScan One and PrograScan One+.
Both scanners are designed to capture high-quality digital impressions and will utilize AI technology to remove automatically remove soft tissue artifacts from the digital impression. Clinicians will be able to record a patient’s dynamic occlusion to ensure the best fitting restorations. Other features included with both scanners are the color scan and shade measurement. In addition, the PrograScan One+ provides optimized handling with wireless scanning technology.
The scanners will be fully integrated into Ivoclar Vivaden’ts PrograDesign software, which will connect both scanners to the PrograMill One. This will allow for single-visit dentistry and guided workflows.
The PrograScan One scanners will be released during the second quarter of 2021. For more information, visit ivoclarvivadent.com.
