The latest version of this furnace aims to provide accurate sintering cycles in a compact, easy-to-use system.
Launching alongside the company's updated Programat furnace line, Ivoclar Vivadent recently announced the new Programat S2 sintering furnace.
Designed to provide dental labs and practices with a compact furnace capable of providing highly accurate sintering, the S2 offers shorter processing times than the previous model, as well as new calibration options to enhance productivity, according to a press release. The sintering chamber itself has not been changed, and the unit can sinter at temperatures up to 1600 ºC offering the ability to process crowns fabricated with IPS e.max ZirCAD in as little as 75 minutes.
The redesigned furnace features a color touchscreen and a graphical user interface designed to make the furnace easier to use. The unit comes preprogrammed with sintering cycles for all zirconia materials from Ivoclar Vivadent, and numerous additional program options are available as well. A blue indicator that is said to be easily visible from a distance displays when the unit enters the cooling phase. Progress can also be monitored via mobile device using the Programat app.
The Programat S2 is currently available for purchase.
