Ivoclar’s press technology has stood the test of time, marking 30 years of press innovations from the group. A virtual summit will take place to celebrate the occasion.
With 30 years of dental press technology under its belt, Ivoclar will celebrate this important anniversary with a virtual event on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023. To commemorate 30 years, dental experts from across the industry will gather virtually to celebrate together and to share experience and insight on Ivoclar’s technologies across the years.
Ivoclar’s first piece of press technology was the IPS Empress, which launched back in 1991, and was followed up by the release of the IPS e.max family in 2005. Per Ivoclar, in 2023 there are more than 100 million e.max restorations placed all over the globe. This worldwide reach demonstrates Ivoclar’s contribution to the dental industry, as well as its commitment to furthering press technology to make restorative dentistry more efficient than ever before, according to Head of Global Training and Education for Ivoclar, Dr George Tysowsky.
“Press Technology has had such a powerful impact on dentistry,” Dr Tysowsky says in a press release. “Even in this new age of digital dentistry, press technology can be applied and play a vital role in helping laboratories achieve success.”
Dr Tysowsky will be in attendance, joined by expert dental technicians Blake Barksdale, Jessive Love, and Mike Bellerinio. Also in attendance will be founder and president of Glidewell, Jim Glidewell. Program discussions will also focus on scientific research done by prosthodontist Dr Ken Malamet.
