Dental practices can now manage both inventory and practice operations from the newly merged software solutions.
Inventory management solutions provider Zimbis recently announced the integration of its software solution with open-source dental practice management platform Open Dental.
This new combination of Open Dental and ZImbis Smart Inventory Cabinets is designed to add efficiencies in dental practice operations by automating inventory tasks and reducing operating expenses, according to a press release.
"We are proud to announce the successful integration with Open Dental, which is a major leap forward in our mission to innovate and streamline inventory management for healthcare providers," says Zimbis President Louis Visser, DDS, in the release. "This integration is designed to empower dental practices to achieve higher operational efficiency and cost savings."
The integrated software platform allows dental practices to conduct real-time inventory management via a Zimbis interface. The system can be set to automatically reorder supplies when stocks reach a specified level while offering detailed analytics about the use of supplies in the practice. Additionally, the Zimbis integration is designed to help practices maintain compliance and documentation with regulations for narcotics and other pharmaceuticals.
"We were happy to work with Zimbis on the integration to bring their inventory management solution to the Open Dental ecosystem," adds Open Dental VP of development Mark Johnson. "This collaboration aligns perfectly with our vision of community-driven innovation built around the Open Dental platform."
