Just unveiled at the CDA Presents conference in San Francisco, the i-CAT FLX MV is designed especially for general dentists and specialists who need a medium field of view and a range of image sizes to fit a variety of needs.
Features of the new model include medium field-of-view that captures both arches and the temporomandibular joints in 3D; Visual iQuity image technology, which offers clear 3D and 2D images; and a user-friendly SmartScan STUDIO touchscreen that allows for the customized selection of scans appropriate for individual patients.
As a member of the i-CAT family, the i-CAT FLX MV is designed to provide an optimal balance between image quality and ALARA radiation dose. High-resolution, volumetric images offer practitioners complete 3D views for more through analyses of bone structure and tooth orientation, while QuickScan+ settings provide full-dentition 3D imaging at doses comparable to 2D panoramic.
In addition, the i-CAT MV comes with clinically conceptualized planning tools that are designed to streamline workflow and help clinicians move from scanning to consultation and treatment planning in less than one minute. For example, Tx STUDIO 5.3 treatment planning software seamlessly integrates with the imaging software to help dentists accurately plan an entire implant treatment from surgical placement to final restoration.
“With the launch of the i-CAT FLX MV, dental professionals can invest in a medium field-of-view that captures the anatomical area specific to their treatment focus.” states Rick Matty, Director of Marketing for i-CAT. “As a result, we are serving more dentists by providing i-CAT quality in a model that fits most every practice.”
