Henry Schein MaxiWipe LA disinfecting towelettes are low-alcohol disinfectant towelettes that are said to clean and disinfect hard, nonporous surfaces and patient-care equipment.
The towels are reportedly effective against HIV-1, HBV, HCV, methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, vancomycin-resistant enterococcus faecalis and staphylococcus aureus with reduced susceptibility to vacomycin.
Use one towelette to completely preclean the surface of all gross debris and a second towelette to thoroughly wet the surface. Repeated use may be necessary to ensure the surface remains visibly wet for three minutes at room temperature to combat tuberculocidal activity and effectiveness against S. aureus, pseudomonas aeruginosa, trichophyton mentagrophytes and salmonella enterica.
