This series of webinars from Henry Schein will focus on treatment planning for the complexities of patient needs and expanding education on vulnerable patient populations.
Henry Schein Dental has announced its 2022 webinar series titled “Breaking Down Barriers to Care.” It is designed to focus on vulnerable patient populations, and the first 3 webinars are set to happen in March, May, and June while additional webinars are in development for the latter half of the year.
The webinar series will focus on pediatric and older adult patients as well as patients with other health conditions. It is meant to reflect Henry Schein’s mission to expand education in this area, according to Henry Schein Executive Leader of Professional Services Dr Gary Severance.
“At Henry Schein, we remain committed to improving health equity for all populations, and offering education that customers can rely on to deliver oral care for better patient outcomes,” Dr Severance said in a press release from the company.
The program features a variety of speakers who specialize in education in treating patients with HIV, cancer, and cardiac issues, among others. The series will begin on March 2, 2022, with “The Dental Provider’s Role in the Journey of Cancer Treatment,” followed by “A Lifetime of Optimum Oral Health Begins with Pediatric Preventive Care” on May 26, 2022. The last of this first series of webinars will be “Treating Patients Living with HIV+” on June 27, 2022.
Henry Schein initially launched this yearly webinar series in 2020, with the first 2 focusing on barriers in special care dentistry and the historical context of developmental disabilities in the United States.
