EFFINGHAM, Ill., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Heartland Dental Care, Inc. has joined the global effort to help those affected by the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti by donating $40,500 to the American Red Cross Haitian Relief and Development Fund. For every ViziLite® Oral Cancer Screening kit sold in its dental offices from Jan. 18 through Feb. 12, the company donated $10 to the Fund. Throughout the month, the dental teams completed 4,050 ViziLite® exams to raise a total of $40,500 for the earthquake victims.

The American Red Cross is partnering with the global Red Cross and Red Crescent network, including the Haitian Red Cross, to assist those affected by this tragedy.
Donations will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help the hundreds of thousands of residents affected by the crisis. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include deploying personnel, sending relief supplies and providing financial resources.
