Dentsply Sirona has announced the launch of the DS OmniTaper Implant System, a new solution for implant treatment designed for virtually all clinical situations. The design is based on the apically tapered Xive Implant design and is slated for release in early 2023, according to a press release from the company.

The Omnitaper EV Implant features ActiveBone Control design and has an apically tapered shape. The ActiveBone Control design uses a combination of bone-specific preparation protocols and the dual-core bone condensing thread design to achieve high primary stability.

In combination, this is said to ensure safe and atraumatic implant placement, even in soft bone, the press release read. The conical EV connection ensures a tight, stable fit and minimizes micromovement and microleakage. Additionally, it provides access to the EV prosthetic range for restorative flexibility and offers clinicians efficiency for immediate chairside solutions.

Its design, surface technology, and simplified procedures make the DS OmniTaper Implant System an ideal option for improving everyday workflows. The entire implant treatment is said to require less time and decreased risk, leading to a more comfortable patient experience.
