With 1 portal, 1 software, and 1 cloud, DS Core seamlessly connects practice teams, equipment, and services to improve efficiencies and take digital dentistry to new heights.
Under the theme of “United for Better Dentistry”, Dentsply Sirona plans to unveil new functions coming soon to its DS Core digital platform at this week’s IDS 2023, being held March 14-18 in Cologne, Germany.
DS Core is an interconnected digital platform designed to support dental professionals throughout the entire patient journey, from image capture to treatment. The modern cloud solution stores patient files in 1 location—ensuring they are available anytime, anywhere while supporting GDPR and HIPAA compliance. DS Core reduces the need for CDs, USB sticks, and the manual transportation of models and impression trays—helping make practices and labs more sustainable.
Communication, Collaboration, and Efficiency
Dentsply Sirona will unveil 2 new DS Core functions designed to make patient communication and ordering processes even easier. IDS attendees will have the chance to see both additions to the DS Core platform live in action.
The new communication canvas is a simple, all-in-one patient communication tool that compiles all digital files—including x-rays, intraoral scans, and patient images—into 1 user-friendly view. The canvas makes patient consultations quick and easy, with the option to share findings with patients for review at home. The tool helps to increase patient comprehension and case acceptance by bringing all information together on 1 screen—making treatment discussions easy for both dentist and patient.
Also coming soon to DS Core, states Dentsply Sirona, is a new ordering and collaboration function, with 1 unified portal for all orders and services. The platform allows users to manage all cases, orders, files, and messages in 1 place—streamlining communication between practices, partners, and labs. Users can work with their favorite lab partner or search for new providers on the platform. The portal also allows users to place orders with DS Core Create for ready-to-print indication designs.
“As a dentist, I was looking for a platform solution that would link many workflows, improve collaboration with colleagues and simplify work steps," says Dr. Verena Freier, a dentist in private practice from Bad Soden, Germany. "It's the many little things, especially in case documentation,
that cost time. It's great that we can become much more efficient at this point with Dentsply Sirona."
IDS offers attendees an opportunity to get to know these and many more possibilities within the platform solution. The new additions to DS Core are designed to complement the platform’s existing solutions: DS Core Create and DS Core Care. With DS Core Create, users can connect with partner labs and outsource the design of patient-specific appliances such as surgical guides or splints. Meanwhile, DS Core Care is a comprehensive technical service and support solution for preventative maintenance of equipment, optimizing the performance and longevity of devices. By connecting practices and labs, DS Core allows dental professionals to work as part of a collaborative and sustainable ecosystem—to contribute to solid outcomes, high patient satisfaction, and reduced waste.
Together for Better, More Sustainable Dentistry
These critical topics, digitalization and sustainability, will shape Dentsply Sirona's presence at IDS: with innovative booth concepts, special educational offers, thought-provoking panel discussions, and exciting networking opportunities.
At IDS, Dentsply Sirona invites attendees to say "Goodbye to USB sticks” and "Hello to the cloud". Any visitor who brings old, discarded and data-free USB sticks and throws them into the DS Core bubble at the Dentsply Sirona booth helps transform a child’s life: For every USB stick disposed in the bubble, Dentsply Sirona will donate 25 Euros (up to a maximum donation of 15,000 Euros) to its partner organization Smile Train, Inc, the world's largest cleft charity, to help fund life-changing cleft surgeries for children in need around the world. The donated USB sticks will be professionally destroyed after the trade show.
Attendees are also invited to experience many recently introduced Dentsply Sirona solutions, such as the DS OmniTaper Implant System and Primescan Connect. Like the rest of the EV Implant Family, the DS OmniTaper Implant System has a conical EV connection that provides access to the harmonized and comprehensive EV prosthetic portfolio for restorative flexibility and immediate chairside solutions. Primescan Connect is the company’s high-performing intraoral scanner now available in a laptop configuration.
"At IDS 2023, Dentsply Sirona is reinforcing its commitment to driving dentistry forward with disruptive solutions and digital services," says Max Milz, group vice president, Digital Platforms & Solutions at Dentsply
Sirona. “With our commitment to innovation, dentists and dental technicians will experience a new level of digital support for their processes. They will be able to work with high efficiency, productivity and collaboration on what matters most: achieving excellent results for their patients. United for better dentistry—that’s how we all will succeed."
Dentsply Sirona will be at the IDS: Hall 11.2. Additionally, on March 14, the live streams of DS Talks United for Digital Dentistry and DS Talks United for Sustainable Dentistry can be viewed at https://www.dentsplysirona.com/en/company/newsroom/ids.html
