DenMat Holdings, LLC has announced that it is entering the clear aligner market after receiving FDA 510(k) clearance for its new system in December 2019. This clearance allows the company to market, sell, design, manufacture, and deliver orthodontic clear aligners to dental professionals and laboratories. The system, called OrthoClear™, will serve as the flagship for this new service offering, the company said in a press release.
“OrthoClear aligners are a perfect extension of services for the DenMat Lab,” said Robert Cartagena, COO for DenMat Holdings, LLC. “We specialize in large, complex cases, full-arch restorations, and high-end esthetics. Clear aligners are already being offered in the majority of our customers’ practices, and the demand for this service has been quite high from this group.”
OthoClear is said to offer 3D virtual treatment planning, a quick 5-day turnaround for virtual treatment plans, and competitive pricing. It’s said to provide a cost-effective, dentist-supervised treatment, unlike direct to consumer systems.
