Crest unveils new daily two-step system

Crest has announced a breakthrough daily two-step system, Crest PRO-HEALTH [HD], that is reportedly as effective as chlorhexidine on gingival tissues.

The daily, two-step toothpaste and gel system is said to deliver gingival health and noticeable whitening benefits.

Step 1 includes a stannous fluoride antibacterial toothpaste said to be uniquely formulated to help inhibit growth of plaque bacteria associated with gingivitis. It should be used for one minute.

Step 2 is a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel that removes surface stains and should also be used for one minute.

The system can be used by patients of all types. It is also said to provide rapid gingival tissue health improvement for patients struggling with gingivitis with the added benefit of noticeable whitening.

The two separate tubes are necessary because the ingredients are not compatible for storage. The two-step process allows for optimized delivery of their respective benefits. The steps should not be used without each other because the system is designed to leverage the incremental chemistry of stannous fluoride and hydrogen peroxide.
