Cosmedent Expands Composite Line With the Addition of Renamel BULKfill
This bulk fill dental composite is designed to provide clinicians with an esthetic option for posterior restorations.
Described as packable, sculptable, and polishable, Renamel BULKfill is the newest addition to Cosmedent's Renamel line of dental composites.
The material is indicated for one-step placement and can be placed more quickly than amalgam, according to a press release. Renamel BULKfill is available in 5 shades (A1, A2, A3, A3.5, and B1), and the shades are said to not be too translucent so they can provide an esthetic match to the shade of the restored tooth's surface.
The material can be cured in increments of up to 4 mm with a 20-second cure time using an LED curing light. Additional shades B-Zero, C3, and D2 will be released in the near future.
