ClearCorrect NOW will enable clinicians to continue delivering the same life-changing care without unnecessary physical contact or office visits.
ClearCorrect, a manufacturer of clear aligners, has launched its first-ever remote clear aligner treatment solution, ClearCorrect NOW, exclusively for clinicians, the company announced. This clinician-directed teledentistry aligner solution is an option that prioritizes health and safety for doctors and patients in the midst of this global pandemic.
ClearCorrect NOW will enable clinicians to continue delivering the same life-changing care without unnecessary physical contact or office visits. The clinician can deliver a fully remote treatment plan from start to finish, or they can choose to delay in-office procedures, such as interproximal reduction and placing engagers, until the patient is ready and able to visit the practice.
“This new offering was created exclusively for clinicians to help them and patients adapt to the ‘new normal’ brought on by COVID-19 restrictions and to continue to treat patients amid the current global pandemic and beyond,” said Christophe Carsault, ClearCorrect vice president of Orthodontics, North America.
With ClearCorrect NOW, patients will start their consultation virtually, which includes taking intraoral photos the patient uploads for their clinician using a smartphone-all of which is done using the Straumann DenToGo™ platform. Once the clinician has reviewed and determines that the patient is a clear aligner candidate, the clinician requests a ClearCorrect impression kit to be sent directly to the patient. After impressions are taken and shipped to ClearCorrect, the clinician will enter the treatment prescription necessary for the patient’s orthodontic needs. Once approved, aligners will be manufactured and shipped to the patient, with the clinician monitoring treatment progress remotely through the DenToGo platform.
