The polisher fits any four-hole handpiece holder and it has quick adapters, according to Cindrich. It rotates so the weight of the instrument can be more comfortable while working in different sections of a patient’s mouth.
Powder containers can be preset so several different powders can be set up at once, he said.
“We have some great flavors,” said Cindrich. Acteon offers five different flavors. Cola currently is the most popular.
The tip of the air abrasion handpiece can be switched to go subginival, Cindrich explained. The polisher also is very easy to use.
“Air polishing in the past, has been a very wide spray, a messy business,” he said. “This air polisher puts a very narrow spray out and really isn’t a mess at all. You don’t have to cover the patient up at all.”
