Carestream Dental intends to defend itself in regards to purported patent infringement claims from 3Shape.
Carestream Dental Responds to 3Shape Lawsuit Announcement
On January 6, 2022, 3Shape announced its filing of a complaint against Carestream Dental in federal court in the Western District of Texas. This lawsuit and patent infringement were filed in regards to intraoral scanning technology. Carestream Dental reports this complaint is without merit, and intends to defend itself against these claims, according to a press release from the company.
Also according to this press release, Carestream Dental cites its sales of dental scanners since 2013 with respect for patents and intellectual properties. Because of this, Carestream Dental will defend against these claims.
Carestream Dental will not discuss pending litigation further and will continue regular selling and servicing practices as usual.
