The new features include soft tissue charting, a patient flow function, and customizable questionnaires.
Carestream Dental’s Software as a Service (SaaS), Sensei Cloud, has introduced new features that are designed to help dentists elevate their practices and provide better, more efficient patient care. The new features include Soft Tissue Chart, Lightbar, and customizable questionnaires.
More dental professionals are encouraging oral cancer screenings, according to a press release from Carestream Dental. The new Soft Tissue Chart allows doctors to keep detailed records of all findings with notes on condition labels on an anatomical chart. As oral cancer screening becomes increasingly important and the related documentation becomes ‘standard of care,’ keeping track of these findings in a patient’s clinical record can help increase early detection, the company’s press release read.
Sensei Cloud’s new Lightbar feature aids in patient flow and time management by moving patients smoothly through their appointment and with more patients returning to in-office appointments, efficiency is key. The Seated Queue flyout bar shows when the patient was seated; the time and chair of the scheduled appointment; provider names for the appointment; and the appointment type. Seated Queue also allows team members to direct doctors to the right patient to keep appointments on schedule. When it’s time for the doctor, there’s no need for team members to leave the patient with the Call the Doctor function.
Custom questionnaires in Sensei Cloud enable practices to create unique digital forms that walk staff through documentation of any data using a variety of prompts, controls, and stock answers. Practice staff can even record medical history in the patient chart as a questionnaire as a simple way to avoid repetitive data entry.
