Five doctors who aced a racing video game at past tradeshows were invited to attend an event at the Porsche Experience Center.
Carestream Dental’s imaging systems and practice management solutions are known for their speed and quality, which made the Chairside Challenge an ideal competition for the company. During the course of the Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 tradeshow season, attendees were invited to try their hand at a racing video game at the Carestream Dental booth to determine who had the skills to hug the curves and embrace the straightaways.
Office staff who aced the game at each show won a video game prize pack, while the top five doctors from all shows were invited to attend an event at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta-right in Carestream Dental’s backyard.
On April 11, doctors and their guests from across the United States-and even Puerto Rico-joined the Carestream Dental team for a day filled with racing and excitement. The event kicked off with three hours on the course, where guests learned how to drive off-road, on anti-friction services and in a launch area.
Later, the winners were treated to a tour of the Porsche Experience Center facility, which was designed by HOK, a leading global architecture, engineering and planning firm. Last, but not least, attendees were put to the limit as they were raced around the track by professional drivers.

It’s easy to see the parallels between the sleek, powerful cars raced that day and the high-performance systems that Carestream Dental designs. Both perfect examples of form meets function.
In fact, form met function at another major event for Carestream Dental a few weeks earlier-the 2019 International Dental Show (IDS), held in Cologne, Germany. There, form met function when the the company previewed its new intraoral scanner, prestigiously designed in collaboration with Studio F. A. Porsche. The CS 3700 features the ergonomic curves and sleek style expected of a high-performance intraoral scanner. In addition, this premium scanner will be available in Arctic White and Carbon Grey, so doctors can match the aesthetics of their practice.
Advanced software with features exclusive to the CS 3700-such as smart shade matching that will provide automatic selection and recording of the patient’s tooth shade-will fuel the scanner’s high performance, allowing users to choose their own path. Ultimately, the scanner’s advanced design will drive better clinical outcomes.
Congratulations to the doctors who aced the Chairside Challenge. For more information on Carestream Dental and its innovative line of products, visit carestreamdental.com.
