This clear aligner system now supports mixed dentition, helping young patients achieve orthodontic treatment as well as airway therapy.
Candid’s CandidPro™ clear aligners now support mixed dentition, enabling clinicians to better treat a variety of different patients, according to a press release from Candid. Candid has especially affirmed its support for doctors that specialize in airway health, with younger patients now receiving the benefit of clear aligner therapy in conjunction with airway therapies, per airway expert Dr Brittany Johansen.
“I absolutely love that CandidPro helps me to set up my younger patients for success by offering mixed dentition support,” Dr Johansen says in the press release. “They are constantly innovating and applying feedback. It is great to work with such a receptive company.”
CandidPro built this new mixed dentition support with the assistance and collaboration of Philips Sonicare and utilized upgraded support for interproximal reduction. Adding on to that were attachments announced earlier in 2023, and this mixed dentition support became possible. Early airway therapy for young patients can help patients get ahead of potential issues later down the line, and Candid aims to go even bigger for 2024 and the years to follow, per Chief Dental Officer Dr Brain Gray.
“We have some of the most talented clinical minds in the industry building even more clinical tools for our providers,” Dr Gray says in the press release. “I’m proud to see our mixed dentition support go live today, and I’m excited to share more updates to CandidPro soon.”
