On the heels of last week’s announcement that Angelalign Technology, Inc is bringing its more than 20 years of clear aligner experience and a commitment to research and digital innovation to the U.S., comes word that the company is partnering with 3Shape in an effort allow both companies to play bigger roles in the delivery of digital orthodontic treatments.

The 2 companies announced on August 7 a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening both companies' ability to serve digital orthodontics patients globally. The partnership means Angel Aligner's clinicians using 3Shape scanners will be able to effortlessly upload patient images to Angel Aligner's cloud-based digital orthodontic platform with a simple click of a button. Additionally, 3Shape's orthodontic clients around the globe gain seamless access to Angel Aligner's comprehensive clear aligner solutions, streamlining their workflows.

Donald Huang, Director of Angel Aligner, who is also responsible for the company's international business, states in a press release, "Throughout the years, AngelAligner and 3Shape have nurtured a deep and enduring partnership founded on mutual trust. To foster a broader and deeper cooperation, we aim to leverage the resources and cutting-edge technologies from both sides, to drive innovation and transformation in digital orthodontics. Our shared goal is to enhance efficient and accurate diagnosis and treatment, while providing patients with a comfortable and precise orthodontic experience."

The new partnership is an important embodiment of Angel Aligner's digitalization and internationalization strategy while also embodying both companies' commitment to open-architecture business systems, according to the press release.

Angel Aligner solutions are backed by a specialized team of technicians who, the company says, are orthodontically attuned to precision case designs with specialized knowledge in complex malocclusions. These technicians provide support to treatment planning needs with high-quality case designs and turnaround times of 10 days. 3Shape, meanwhile, has been a leading providing of intraoral scanners for the industry for years, and last fall released the TRIOS 5 Wireless, a redesigned, state-of-the-art intraoral scanner designed to make it easier than ever for dentists to go digital with their dentistry.
