The portfolio of white and pre-stained zirconia blanks are designed to meet all aesthetic and functional requirements.
With comprehensive experience in in-house production of zirconia and a high degree of expertise in development, Amann Girrbach developed a portfolio of white and pre-stained zirconia blanks that are designed to meet all aesthetic and functional requirements. The products are engineered to be perfectly integrated in the system architecture of the Ceramill system and users are said to benefit from efficient processing and accurate shades.
Zirconia blanks with the Ceramill brand name are reportedly manufactured under the strictest test procedures and according to defined, certified processes in a production facility specially designed for the production of medical products at the headquarters (Austria). Ten years of experience in in-house production of zirconia blanks and comprehensive quality control of each single blank is said to guarantee constantly high material quality with excellent processing properties. They are designed to be integrated into a cleverly conceived overall concept in which blanks, colouring solutions as well as design and milling strategies are perfectly coordinated. Their seamless interlinking reportedly results in an efficient, process-reliable workflow with accurately fitting end results.

Users can take advantage of a wide range of Ceramill Liquid colouring solutions and respective processing techniques for maximum customisation. The Ceramill zirconia range was extended recently to include the super-high translucent, polychromatic stained Ceramill Zolid FX Multilayer and the high-translucent Ceramill Zolid HT+. Its light transmission is said to very closely approximate that of super-high translucent zirconias, but it possesses a strength value that allows fabrication of long-span restorations.
Ceramill Zolid FX Multilayer
Ceramill Zolid FX Multilayer is a polychromatic, super-high-translucent zirconia with integrated shade and translucency gradients. Smooth shade transitions are said to simulate enamel, dentine and cervical shades in a natural, fluent process without interfering shade break edges. Ceramill Zolid FX Multilayer blanks reportedly establish a class of cubic zirconia in the Ceramill zirconia portfolio by combining the high light transmission of SHT zirconia with the economy and efficiency of prestained dental materials. The material, which can be quickly and easily processed, is engineered to ensure highly aesthetic restorations without staining in one step, without requiring post processing. The Ceramill CAD/CAM system has an intelligent nesting concept for high shade stability. It is designed to allow the restoration to be placed in the blank according to the VITA classical shade guide. The restoration can be further customised using Ceramill stains to achieve even more aesthetic final results.
Zirconia blanks with the Ceramill Zolid FX brand name reportedly stand for a translucency only previously known from lithium disilicate, but have strength values that allow fabrication of up to 3-unit bridges, including in the molar region. Ceramill Zolid FX Multilayer is available in all 16 VITA classical shades, whereby each blank covers two shades, e.g. A2 (top) and A3 (bottom).
Ceramill Zolid HT+
The requirements placed on all-ceramic materials are continually increasing. In addition to perfect processing properties, the focus is mainly on aesthetics and functional parameters. The framework material already has to significantly contribute to the final aesthetic outcome, particularly if conventional veneering is no longer used and only partial layering or even monolithic facings are used. Amann Girrbach caters for this trend with the new Ceramill Zolid HT+. The high translucent zirconia is engineered to combine high mechanical parameters with excellent aesthetics. Its strength of over 1000 MPa is in the same range as the proven HT zirconia Ceramill Zolid; however, the light optical properties greatly surpass those of its predecessor. Even solid structures such as large, implant-supported structures with gingiva section are said to radiate the vitality of natural tooth structure thanks to their light transmission. An optimized manufacturing process reportedly positively influences the milling of the blank. It is particularly illustrated in even finer marginal contouring with outstanding edge stability.

The Ceramill Liquid “new formula” colouring solutions are designed to be a perfect complement to Ceramill Zolid HT+. The interplay of the two components used in the immersion or brush technique is reflected in highly aesthetic shade results according to the VITA classical shade guide.
The white Ceramill Zolid HT+ portfolio will be completed in future by pre-stained Preshade blanks in 16 VITA tooth shades. They are designed to provide labs with a high degree of shade stability, efficiency and reproducibility. All tooth shades, however, reportedly can be attained using a clever staining technique with Ceramill Stain & Glaze stains even with a smaller selection of blanks, creating customized solutions according to individual demands and requirements.
