This workflow solution from Align and Asana Smiles will help make everyday tasks more efficient in both general dental and orthodontic practices.
Align has announced that it will be beginning a strategic partnership with Asana to offer the workflow management solution Asana Smiles™ to Invisalign dentists. Asana Smiles is a workflow solution designed for both general and orthodontic dental practices to manage tasks and optimize daily efficiencies. It can be added onto existing management software, making it easy to integrate into the practice, according to Heather Stone Hopkins, DMD, MS, and practice owner.
“There is a high degree of complexity in managing a successful orthodontic practice,” said Dr Stone Hopkins in a press release from Align. “Creating an automated workflow with Asana Smiles has been a welcome addition for both me and my team. Due to its intuitive nature, implementation was a breeze. The ability to integrate Invisalign treatment information and tasks with my workflow has introduce a number of efficiencies including improved delegation and accountability with my team. This allows me as the doctor to keep my focus where it belongs, on treating my patients.”
Asana Smiles will make a variety of everyday tasks easier to track and organize including booking, prescriptions, aligner delivery, and ClinCheck® treatment plans, according to the press release. Removing more manual processes and automating workflows will be a boon for many practices, according to Align Technology executive vice president and managing director, Americas Simon Beard.
“As doctors continue to move from analog to digital processes and workflows in dentistry and orthodontics, selecting the right work management solution for their practices is a key decision,” said Beard in the press release. “Through this agreement, doctors will have access to a new option that helps minimize manual processes and creates a clear view of Invisalign treatment workflows from prospective patients through treatment to retention.”
This strategic partnership was debuted at the American Association of Orthodontists’ Annual Session in Miami Beach, Florida which took place May 21-24, 2022.
