Imagoworks Inc, an artificial intelligence (AI) digital dentistry company, recently announced that its flagship AI CAD solution, Dentbird Crown, has been updated to integrate with Shining 3D Dental Cloud.

This integration enables dental clinics and dental laboratories using products from both companies to carry out prosthetic manufacturing tasks more quickly, simply, and intuitively than before, the 2 companies state.
Shining 3D Dental Cloud is a digital dentistry-specific platform provided by Shining 3D, China's leading 3D digital solutions company. The cloud-based platform that allows dental clinics and laboratories to order prosthetic manufacturing by transmitting patient data scanned with oral scanners (Aoralscan3), model scanners (AutoScan-DS), and face scanners (MetiSmile) to dental laboratories.

Imagoworks’ Dentbird Crown cloud-based AI CAD software offers an efficient solution accessible via web browsers without the need for program installations. Utilizing AI technology, Dentbird Crown provides optimized crown prosthetic designs tailored to patient's 3D scan data with just a few clicks. With its auto data analyzation, clinicians simply upload their scan data all at once, and Dentbird AI instantly classifies each arch.

The advanced AI automation solution also features margin detection—after users upload their data, the abutments are detected automatically.

Integration Just a Mouse Click Away

The integration between Dentbird Crown and Shining 3D Dental Cloud is designed to enhance usability and convenience in digital dentistry and dental laboratories.

For dental clinics and laboratories using Shining 3D's intraoral scanners and model scanners, they can store 3D scan data acquired from patients in Shining3D Dental Cloud and immediately upload the scan data by clicking the <Shining 3D> button on Dentbird Crown's Cloud page after logging in.

After the intraoral scanning, clinics equipped with milling machines, 3D printers, and other processing equipment can immediately design crowns with Dentbird Crown and process them, enabling true same-day prosthetics.

This seamless integration of 3D data not only creates a more intuitive connection between clinics and labs that have been sending scans back and forth via email or messenger, but also makes prosthetics workflows more streamlined.

The process offers the advantage of faster and easier prosthetic manufacturing, the companies state.

Dentbird Crown currently is also integrated with MEDIT's digital dentistry platform, MEDIT Link. Imagoworks states the company is actively pursuing seamless integration with various hardware such as multiple 3D scanners, milling machines, 3D printers, as well as CAM and slicer software.

Through this integration with Shining 3D Dental Cloud, dental clinics and laboratories will be able to establish a more intuitive workflow for crown production, Imagoworks states in a press release. The company plans to continue to collaborate with global dental companies to create a unified new AI CAD system that integrates various digital equipment and software into 1 system.
