Dental equipment manufacturing company A-dec has announced the introduction of its new A-dec Certified Pre-Owned Equipment program. The initiative will allow dental practices to purchase certified pre-owned equipment directly through A-dec, boosting confidence in the quality and efficacy of the equipment, according to a press release from the company.

Speaking about the vision behind the venture, CEO Marv Nelson stated in the press release, "I believe A-dec is for everyone. Our new A-dec Certified Pre-Owned Equipment program will help make it possible for more dental professionals to practice with the best dental equipment, by putting A-dec equipment within reach. In tandem with our Smart Start program and other continuing education services, A-dec will continue to invest in the success of customers, especially those who are starting their practice journey."

While unauthorized third parties sell used A-dec dental equipment, A-dec has taken a proactive approach by developing its own refurbishing process to ensure the highest quality and optimal user experience with A-dec equipment, according to the press release.

A-dec Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tim Long, spoke about the program in the press release, saying, "A-dec Certified Pre-Owned Dental Equipment goes through a rigorous multi-point inspection. It's refurbished by skilled A-dec technicians, who replace high-wear parts with new, genuine A-dec parts. Because we've handled every part of the process, we can certify that this equipment meets A-dec’s high standards of quality and reliability."

A-dec Certified Pre-Owned Equipment also aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability. "This program keeps useful dental equipment out of landfills, reducing waste," said Long. "And because refurbishing dental equipment takes only a fraction of the natural resources and materials compared to manufacturing new, doctors can make the right choice for their practice and the environment."

Sales and installation will be managed by authorized A-dec dealers, per the press release. The package price also includes brand-new formed upholstery in the customer’s choice of color. All A-dec Certified Pre-Owned Equipment is backed by a 3-year parts warranty and full access to A-dec customer service and support. Currently, the program is exclusively available for customers in the United States.

Nelson expressed confidence in the reception of the program, stating, "Doctors can choose our Certified Pre-Owned Equipment with confidence, knowing that it's inspected, refurbished, and fully supported by the same company that made it. Quality means everything at A-dec."
