As the dentist scans, the new TRIOS® Color automatically matches the various shades, and stores all the shade values together with the digital impression. Dentists can thereby omit the extra manual step that comes with visual shade taking using shade guides.
The dentist has the option to evaluate and highlight relevant areas for the lab, and the complete shade information is sent to the lab together with the impression.
Another new feature allows dentists to take high definition photos as they scan. The HD Photos add extraordinary detail levels and make it easier to place the margin line, while additionally providing images for case documentation and communication with patients. The accumulated HD photos are automatically packaged and sent along with the digital impression.
According to 3Shape, with its latest innovations, the TRIOS® solution has become a multifunctional digital solution for dentists that create 3D digital impressions, measures color shades of teeth, and takes intraoral HD photos - all in a single device.
