These patient game-changing products made dentistry more comfortable for your patients in 2014 - making them more likely to accept treatment and talk about your practice with family and friends.

Aquasil Cordless from DENTSPLY Caulk

The Product: Aquasil Ultra Cordless is a Tissue Managing Impression System that eliminates the need for retraction cord and paste in most cases.

It provides an easy, one-step system that places super high tear strength material precisely around the prepared tooth or passively into the sulcus within seconds for a less stressful experience that reportedly delivers very accurate marginal detail.

From the Patient: “I was expecting that visit to last an hour, and I was done in around 30 minutes so it really made a big difference. Plus the comfort was a lot better.” – Sean Johnson

SmartSeries with Bluetooth Connectivity 4.0 from Oral-B

The Product: The SmartSeries with Bluetooth Connectivity 4.0 links to the Oral-B App via low-energy Bluetooth to deliver brushing data that helps patients and dental professionals improve brushing behaviors.

The electric toothbrush features oscillating-rotating-pulsating technology that reportedly removes up to 100% more plaque than a manual toothbrush. Plus, it offers six different cleaning modes and is compatible with six different brush heads, while a pressure sensor automatically decelerates speed if the user brushes too hard.

For the Patient: It also records brushing activity as data that can be shared with their dental professional, helping to create and manage smarter, and more personalized brushing routines.

KISSCARE ULTRA

The Product: KISSCARE ULTRA is a self-bonding silicone polymer that is designed to create a nonstick surface that seals and protects natural teeth and denture from stains, sticky foods and plaques for up to 6 months.

The product resists acids, which reduces the effects of tooth decay, while also sealing newly bleached tooth surfaces and acting as a desensitizer. Reportedly, the gel can be applied without complicated tools or procedures on two full arches in less than 10 minutes, using only a cotton swab, floss or prophy cup.

For the Patient: KISSCare ULTRA provides a tough NON-STICK surface on your teeth that lasts for months, with no staining, no sticking and freedom from sensitive teeth.

3M True Definition Scanner

The Product: The new system was built for fast scanning-once the field is prepared, an adept user can scan a diagnostic arch in as little as 60 seconds.

The new wand is designed to fit in the hand like a traditional dental handpiece, with a narrow, angled tip and a slim profile said to be so ergonomically balanced it allows for one-handed scanning.

For the Patient: The small profile and fast scan time are engineered to make scanning with the redesigned 3M True Definition Scanner system more comfortable for patients and staff.

Philips Zoom QuickPro

The Product: Philips Zoom QuickPro’s application only takes five minutes, which can be easily tacked onto a regular dental cleaning appointment for ultimate convenience.

After the application, the patient can leave the dentist’s office and go about his or her day. After wearing the treatment’s transparent formula for 30 minutes, the patient can simply wipe it off. The treatment can whiten teeth up to four shades in just one application.

For the Patient: The new innovation is an affordable, convenient and effective option for people who are just starting to think about whitening or want to make the switch from OTC to professional whitening.
