SureFil SDR flow has been a game changer in the placement of Class I and II posterior composites. Research shows that the proximal box is the area where the negative effects of polymerization shrinkage are most significant.

SureFil SDR flow has been a game changer in the placement of Class I and II posterior composites. Research shows that the proximal box is the area where the negative effects of polymerization shrinkage are most significant.

Deeper fillings have greater polymerization contraction stress in the cavity configuration due to less flow capacity of the composite.

SureFil SDR flow chemistry incorporates a polymerization modulator that offsets the inherent stress build up that occurs during light polymerization. The result is seamless adaptation of SureFil SDR flow to the gingival and proximal margins, eliminating micro-leakage, post-operative sensitivity and recurrent caries susceptibility.

Dental literature demonstrates that SureFil SDR flow not only has the lowest shrinkage stress but better physical properties than other flowable and bulk fill composites.

Compelling research assessing restoration defects in real time video using Optical Coherence Tomography demonstrated that SureFil SDR flow is the only flowable composite not to have voids or gap formation at the gingival floor upon polymerization.

Whether in the hands of dental students I teach at the University of Pennsylvania or for use in private practice, SureFil SDR flow has proven to be easy to use and reliable in delivering outstanding, consistent clinical results.

Said to allow clinicians to place posterior composites up to 40% faster, SureFil SDR flow (stress decreasing resin) posterior bulk-fill flowable base allows for bulk placements up to 4 mm with a 20-second cure time for the universal shade. The material features stress absorption and optimal cavity adaptation with the added benefit of bulk filling.

It is said to offer maximum flexibility by allowing clinicians to cap the restorative with any methacrylate-based universal composite to provide esthetics, wear resistance and strength for occlusal surfaces.
