KaVo recently introduced the new MASTERtorque™ LUX M8700 L air-driven, high-speed handpiece.

The MASTERtorque LUX M8700 L employs direct stop technology, which safely stops the bur in less than one second. This also is said to prevent retractive suction of aerosols and suction of particles into the ball bearings for more hygiene and longevity.

Reportedly quiet as a whisper, the handpiece operates at 57 dB(A), a comfortable noise level for clinicians, staff and patients. Operating at a maximum 23 watts of power, the MASTERtorque LUX M8700's compact and ergonomic design, together with KaVo’s unique lighting concept, reportedly creates the best working and visibility conditions at the preparation area.

Additional benefits reportedly include MULTIflex LUX connection, push-button autochuck, precision-balanced turbine, new angle for improved access, unique Plasmatec hygienic coating, third-generation cellular-optics with a five-year warranty, three-port spray and a field-replaceable water microfilter.
