Since I came on board as the group editorial director for Advanstar’s dental division in September of 2013, one of my biggest goals and objectives has been to elevate the role of the dental team throughout Advanstar’s titles, including Dental Products Report (DPR). You can see part of that objective realized on a monthly basis in our “I Use That” series in DPR.

Modern Hygienist is a member of the Advanstar dental family. For years, Modern Hygienist has provided quality editorial to thousands of dental hygienists. I’m proud of the role Modern Hygienist has played, and I’m so excited about the future of MH.
One of the reasons for my excitement is the announcement of Anastasia Turchetta, RDH, as the new editor of Modern Hygienist. I have known Anastasia for years (as a friend and colleague) and have worked with her on countless projects (including Modern Hygienist Google Hangouts focusing on the relationship between oral sex and oral cancer, e-cigarettes, the "oil pulling" phenomenon, the business role of the hygienist in today’s dental practice, and many other topics).
Additional learning: Watch Anastasia’s Webinar on helping your patients control hypersensitivity
As a Modern Hygienist reader, you’ve met Anastasia through these Google Hangouts and personally seen the passion she brings for dental hygienists and the dental hygiene profession. Now you’ll see Anastasia guide editorial content for Modern Hygienist, bringing the perspective of a career-driven hygienist to the brand.
Below, you can see a Google Hangout that I recently did with Anastasia where she talks about her new role and her vision for Modern Hygienist.
I couldn’t be happier to have Anastasia on board and I know amazing things are ahead for Modern Hygienist readers.
