Dexis for Dentrix Ascend was developed to follow dental practices' workflow. When a patient comes in for an X-ray, a clinician can click the imaging button in their chart and choose the ADA code associated with the X-ray, without the need to open a separate application. The image is automatically stored in the patient’s record, and the procedure is posted to the patient’s ledger, with the appropriate ADA code.

This new solution also immediately loads images to the cloud. As soon as the X-ray is taken, that image is available to all authorized devices and users on the system. A patented image uploader in Dexis for Dentrix Ascend sends images to the cloud in as little as 1.5 seconds. Images are stored by date, so users can quickly find images from the patient’s previous visit.

Because Dexis for Dentrix Ascend is cloud-based, you don’t have to manage a server, run backups, maintain the network, add more storage, upgrade the software, or do any IT tasks that on-premise systems need. Upgrades and backups happen automatically. And, you save thousands of dollars because you don’t need an imaging sever in your office.
