3M ESPE recently partnered with the Minnesota Vikings and Team Smile to offer free dental care and education to 300 underserved children from area elementary schools.
The program, which was held on Oct. 15 at the Vikings’ practice field in Eden Prairie, Minn., reportedly provided the children with hundreds of dollars worth of free dental care.
Viking players in attendance included defensive end Jared Allen, running back Joe Banyard, linebacker Desmond Bishop, fullback Jerome Felton, cornerback Xavier Rhodes, safety Jamarca Sandford, and offensive tackle J’Marcus Webb. Two Vikings cheerleaders and mascot Viktor the Viking were also on hand, as well as many of members of the professional football team’s personnel.
Children who attended the day of fun activities were able to participate in a meet-and-greet with the Viking players, then move on to receive free dental care that was provided by more than 100 volunteer professionals.
