2008 Guide to Outsourcing

Custom Milling Center

The CMC Advantage

Versatility means profitability and productivity

Custom Milling Center is first and foremost a milling center. We strive to be an outsource solution that enhances the profitability and productivity of dental labs. CMC is not a dental laboratory. We are not your competition.

CMC is continually on the cutting edge of the latest techniques and technologies. Through our array of milling machines, driven by the open architecture of the Dental Wings Scanner/Software, we have the ability to produce a variety of zirconia substructures and full-contour copings. This allows you to leap-frog to the front of the CAD/CAM line. We do all the work. You reap the rewards.

Add value, find freedom with CMC

Your lab gains a distinct advantage when you partner with CMC. By outsourcing your milling work to us, you can transfigure your fixed costs to variable costs.

The Dental Wings Scanner, with its open architecture, reflects the future trend of CAD/CAM technology. It works with a variety of milling machines, including the Noritake Katana, Wieland’s Zeno, Digital Dental as well as the Envisontec Perfactory for printing wax forms. This not only enables us to manufacture copings, anatomical wax-ups, and implant abutments, but it also allows you a choice when it comes to selecting the materials for fabricating your substructure. In addition, the Dental Wings Software works with Cadent’s iTero intraoral digital impression scanner, giving CMC and your laboratory a more complete CAD/CAM solution.

After building your business by sending models to CMC for scan and design, you are ready for the next level in your outsourcing partnership. CMC is there to help you fuel your ambitions by providing you with a Dental Wings Scanner so you can begin the scan-and-design process in-house. With this depth of partnership and integration, your lab will be able to streamline the production process and augment your in-house capabilities.

Do What’s Best for Your Lab. Partner with CMC.

Whether you need a single coping, long-span bridgework, full crowns, or custom implant abutments, CMC will be there to help you create a restoration that exhibits exceptional marginal integrity and incredible esthetics. What dental laboratory – not to mention any other milling center – can boast of such capabilities and innovation?

At CMC, we want you to have the advantage. Realize your place at the forefront of CAD/CAM and milling technologies by partnering with CMC.

CMC's abutment advantage

Dental Wings Scanner’s DWOS open architecture platform drives Custom Milling Center’s limitless manufacturing potential. Let CMC help you further distinguish your business by utilizing our ability to produce custom implant abutments utilizing Zirconia or Titanium.

CMC provides multi-system scanning jigs that the laboratory technician places on the model containing the implant analog. While the Dental Wings scans the model, the software recognizes the type of implant system, corresponding thread pattern, rotation, and the emergence profile angle of the implant.

After designing the abutment, you simply upload your file to CMC where your design becomes an unbelievably accurate-fitting abutment that won’t require adjustment or polishing of the collar.

• Dental Wings automatically generates correct position and final shape of the custom abutment.

• The software allows you to select what type of coping is required to overlay the custom abutment.

• Review cement parameters to ensure correct cement space, allowing correct fit for the coping.

• Dental Wings Software allows you to simultaneously manipulate the emergence profile of your abutment and final restoration.
